For this task on creating a title for my film, i asked a group of people to read my synopsis and give names for what they feel like it should be called. I gave them a range of names which i had created so that they could give me feedback on what the title makes them feel is going to occur within the film. I also let them modify just a few names as i want it to be more of what the audience would like to see and what catches there attention most in a title.
After a few changes were made to titles, i asked the group of people to give me feedback on the titles. Many of them said that names of a film makes it easier to suggest what shall occur and this helped me because it gave me ideas of what they expect to see and how i could make changes based around it and create a twist on the audiences emotions.
The last one out wins - when i questioned people on what they think of this film title many of them had the idea that this would be about a game being played. If it relates with survival then this could relate with the idea that the last person who survives is the winner and they win the game. It made my peers question whether the characters also have to endure something within the film to be a winner.
The slitter - this gave away a whole gory side to the film,, that there was going to be a lot of blood, sweat and tears within the film. It automatically gave away a stereotypical plot where they fear death, there also being a murderer and what would be the murderers motive. They also said from the use of the word 'slitter' necks would be slit and the murderer brutally attacks his victim by 'slitting'.
The breakable - it made them question what is it that is being broken, if it is a bond between characters and society and what is it that breaks them.
Raw guts - this had quite a brutal impact on the audiences response towards the films title. They automatically imagined what would occur in the film, blood everywhere and a physco that is the cause for all the chaos and disruption.
Those who dare - this film title didnt really have much feedback as my audience found it to be hard on trying to imagine how the title could relate to the film. The main response that came from them an awful lot was 'what is it that they are daring to do' and what will happen to the characters as a consequencial outcome.
