Why i chose horror?
I have chosen to do Horror because it is a genre that is currently popular. Horror has a lot of code and conventions and i thought that it would be a challenge to try and use a few to make a successful film.
Horror movie plots always consist of a murderer torturing the innocent, brutally attacking the victims to make the audience experience fear, making them feel apart of the situation as if the victim was them or they were there.
A lot of these types of films involves a twist and sometimes it resolves in having a less unhappy ending. Also this is genre that can have an effect on the audience making them believe that it is real, especially if it is based on a true story.
I chose to pick this because my movie will consist of a few of the code and conventions, such as blood for example but wouldn't really involve no brutality that is visible to the audience to see, so it is almost as if the audience is the antagonist or they are hiding behind the audience.
